SCOPE OF WORKS

MACS’s scope of works will include the provision all required management, supervision, labour, transport and materials to undertake the Demolition works outlined as:

10 Sleeman Avenue, Mira Mar:

  • Allow to remove house (double brick and metal roof) from the site, remove trip hazards at ground level.
  • Bitumen to driveway to remain unless directed otherwise whilst onsite.
  • Retaining walls to driveway to remain unless directed otherwise whilst onsite.
  • House, brickwork, slabs, and verandas to be removed.

12 Sleeman Avenue, Mira Mar:

  • Brick paving to driveway – to remain unless directed otherwise whilst onsite.
  • Retaining walls to driveway – to remain unless directed otherwise whilst onsite.
  • Brick garage to be removed.
  • House and poles to be removed.
  • Carport concrete base to be removed.

KEY CHALLENGES

  • The continuous movement of land under the two houses throughout demolition
  • Balancing weight distribution across sloped site
  • Unknown contamination due to structural inadequacies preventing access
  • Given the unknowns understood to be one of only a handful landslides of its kind to occur in Australia
